Like most people, I have a need to express the visions, thoughts or ideas that press upon my mind, and I do so in visual form. I find inspiration in reading and in my daily encounters with the flux of reality. Indeed, the humble epiphanies of everyday life, and current cultural or political events of varying importance provide an endless stream of source material.
My Art is almost exclusively figurative and the style varies between a modified form of realism and controlled deformation. The images operate primarily on the visual level, but it is always my aim that the visual configuration is informed and fueled by meaningful ideas, metaphors, or hidden symbolism.
In short, I strive to create objects of beauty and visual strength that inform, gratify, and ennoble those who see them.
